So my sister has always been inviting me to her shows and performances.  Typically I commit, but when the time comes I usually freak out and bail.  This time I decided to push through my social retardation (using my cousin as a crutch) and go see her new band playing at Rockwood Music Hall.

The show was at midnight...I can't remember the last time I stayed up that late for something.  My cousin and I planned to meet up at 10:30 to grab something to eat at a nearby place that we like, then head over to the show and make an appearance.

My cousin texted me that she was going to take a nap at 7, so she could make it through the show without falling asleep.  This was a smart move.  I unfortunately decided to panic and go to the city early and start drinking.  I don't know why I get nervous over these kinds of things.

Luckily I didn't freak out too much, and met my cousin at Cafe Katja for dinner (and another drink).  After that we made our way over to the show.

I am so happy that I went.  The show was great.  My sister definitely knows how to sing.  I wish I hadn't left my camera in Colorado, and I'd like to think I would have been able to get some good pictures, but I probably wouldn't have had the nerve to get up and take pictures.  I got one, basically hiding behind my cousin.  Ridiculous.

After seeing the show, I immediately regretted not seeing the other two.  I can definitely say that if there are more events that I'm invited to, I will push myself to go.

I ended up getting home around 3:30 in the morning, and slept until 8.  I haven't slept that late in a long time.

Bloody mary and a breakfast burrito from Del Frisco's for brunch the next day hit the spot.
